A Change Agent is essentially defined as "a person from inside or outside an organization who helps the organization transform by focusing on improving organizational effectiveness, improvement, and development."

*What's this event about?

Enjoy a beautiful Autumn day in Oak Park by connecting with local non profit organizations and signing up to be a true agent of change. Between these collective powerhouse groups, there are plenty of volunteer efforts to sign up for - both socially distanced and in person.

*Will it be fun?

All patrons will be able to receive discounts at local restaurants/bars in the downtown area with a quick Facebook event check-in! Don't forget to grab a bite from our on-site food pop up and take a pumpkin home to complete your day. So yes, we think it'll be fun! :)

*Is my safety taken into account?

Absolutely. The following measures will be in place taking COVID-19 into full account.

- Maintaining 6 feet apart

- General crowd control

- Extra face masks, gloves & hand sanitizer for all patrons & vendors

- Contactless payment/donation system

Donations are appreciated!

Your gracious support will go towards two things - funding this event and others like it that keep this work momentum flowing, but also towards our efforts in policy change.

Goods 4 Good

We are hosting a multiple location, village wide yard sale in support of Westside leaders implementing wellness initiatives for their communities.

Our primary donor recipient, Dez’stiny Dockery, is a 200 hr yoga instructor and healing champion. Currently, she serves her community by bringing classes and products with one purpose; to heal people mentally, physically and emotionally. She is currently studying psychology at UIC with the goal of becoming a holistic therapist.

Why are initiatives like Dez’stiny’s so pivotal? A study done by the Center for Disease Control shows that low income areas are 5x more likely to suffer from chronic diseases and 6% more likely to suffer feelings of depression, hopelessness and worthlessness. Dez’stiny provides her students with the necessary tools to learn mindfulness.
